Condition: Overall, the lens is in good condition, especially considering its age. Externally, the lens is in amazing condition with very few blemishes overall, with the only noticeable ones being on the front ring. See photos for further detail. Optically, the lens is in fairly good condition, with the rear elements being free of any blemishes. There are a few tiny scratches on the front element, which is usual for lenses of this age, and there is also some haze just below the front element, which gives images a slightly softer, “glowier” look, though the results coming from the lens are definitely still really nice!

Overall Condition - This camera is basically perfect; it’s evidently had very little use in its life, though it has been thoroughly CLA’d by Classic Camera, meaning it’s running as new, without any of the issues associated with being out of use. It mechanically feels as good as new Leica MPs, and all shutter speeds have been tested as part of the CLA , and are fully accurate. Cosmetically, the camera is near-perfect. It has had new leatherette applied and been throroughly cleaned externally. The only blemishes are the finish damage on the self-timer lever (which we’ve kept to maintain originality, though we can replace upon request), and a very small chip on the side of the back door (see photos). Otherwise, there are almost no scratches on the rest of the body, and all of the paint is original and perfect. The viewfinder has also been completely cleaned out and is as good as new. The rangefinder brightness isn’t at the level of new Leicas, though is still super accurate and more than bright enough to focus quickly in any situation.

Overall Condition - The lens is in near-perfect cosmetic condition, with only tiny blemishes on the body (see photos), which aren’t apparent unless you look hard. The optics are near perfect, though there are a couple tiny specs of dust in one element group, and potentially signs of extremely thin spidering fungus on the front element near the edge, though it’s very hard to see. Due to these, we’ve tested the sharpness, constrast and checked for any image differences compared to other copies, and we’ve found it makes absolutely no difference to optical performance. We’ve also made sure the fungus is ‘dead’ through UV exposure. Note - the UV filter does have much thicker similar fungus inside (we assume the filter was stored on the lens, and hence got effected rather than the lens), so it should be treated as means of protection like a cap, and probably not used while taking photos (contrast & sharpness would be reduced).

Overall Condition - This body is in great overall condition, with the rarity of having all the original packaging, manual, and strap (which works, though has seen better days). Cosmetically, the camera is in very good condition, with a few signs of wear over the body , which is typical of the M4-P, given that they were sold with a professional market in mind. Leica M Mount 50mm Summicron f/2 Dual-Range Lens!

Features:

Overall Condition - The external body of the lens is in extremely good condition for its age, and is in clean & tidy condition. There are a few small scratches across the body, and one of the tiny screws near the aperture dial has been stripped , though its barely noticeable unless looking hard. The glass externally is near perfect, as are most of the elements. However, one or two elements in the rear construction of the lens has some clouding and a couple small spots on them (see photos). Having tested this lens on both digital and film, it makes little to no tangible difference to overall sharpness, though creates a slight loss of contrast when wide open, and a tiny glow around highlights in harsh sunlight when wide open too. The somehow de-clicked aperture is worth noting again, though it makes no difference the final result in any way (may even be useful for use with video…)

Comes with Leica Silver 39mm UV filter as front cap in good condition. We don’t have a rear cap for this yet, though they can be found for under a dollar anywhere (and we’ll include one as soon as we can get some in :)).

Overall Condition - Great overall condition. Externally, there are one or two minor scuffs, along with brassing on the filter mount (as is the same with almost all copies of this lens), though in amazing cosmetic condition overall. Internally, glass is entirely clear, except for a few tiny scratches on the external elements (which is again standard for almost all of these). Focusing moves perfectly as intended, and aperture adjustment is clean and consistent throughout the range.

Overall Condition - The camera body itself is in stunning condition, with no noticable where on the metal body itself (see photos), and with only tiny scratches on the screen (only noticeable in certain light). Everything functions as it should. The sioflex is in good working condition, though there is some small damage on the bottom of the eye-cup, though it doesn’t make a difference to the overall feel. The M-T adapter is in perfect condition. We unfortunately don’t have the cap for the body, or the original battery charger, though the cable works just as well, and is more efficient in many cases. Overall Condition: The camera is in completely immaculate condition overall. All functions work perfectly, and feels compltely as new when being used. The rangefinder and viewfinder are as bright and clean as they would be new. The body is in near-perfect cosmetic condition too, with only 2 tiny chips in the paint of the left side of the camera; one at the top (around 1mm long), and one on the edge of the bottom plate (around 3mm long), neither of which is noticeable unless actively looking for them. There is also a tiny bit of paint loss on the "INFO” button on the back in the lettering (see photos). There is currently a screen protector on the LCD screen, and the bottom plate still has its original plastic covering on it. The batteries, charger, and strap are all in very good condition, too.
