Optics known for being full of character wide open, and exceptionally sharp when stopped down, hence its affectionate ‘Japanese Summicron’ nickname
Extremely compact & light design, weighing in at just 139g, and being much shorter than even modern Leica lenses, perfect for maintaining a small street photography setup, or even for making a tramping pack lighter for landscape photographers
Strong Japanese build quality, designed to directly compete with the Leica lenses of the time
Leica thread (a.k.a. LTM, L39) mount, allowing for use on all LTM cameras, easy, rangefinder coupled, adaptation to Leica M mount cameras, and compatibility with modern mirrorless cameras.
Overall Condition: The lens is in great condition overall. It’s recently received a CLA, so the glass is in completely perfect condition, as are the focusing & aperture mechanisms. Functionally, everything is as intended when it left that factory. Externally, there is a small amount of light wear on the paint job, though nothing immediately obvious at all. All inlay paint is perfect, too.
