Rare Nicca 50mm f/2.8 Lens in Leica Thread Mount!
This is a lens manufactured by Nicca just prior to the company being acquired by Yashica. It was initially released to go along with the Nicca 33, as shown in the last photo, which we also have for sale (the lens will be discounted by $100 if purchased alongside the camera).
Features:
Versatile 50mm focal length, ideal for all styles of photography
Tessar 4-element optical formula, giving it a classic, ‘vintage’ rendering style, while maintaining sharpness
Strong Japanese build quality, designed to directly compete with the Leica lenses of the time
Leica thread (a.k.a. LTM, L39) mount, allowing for use on all LTM cameras, easy, rangefinder coupled, adaptation to Leica M mount cameras, and compatibility with modern mirrorless cameras.
Focus scale with markings for both standard and infrared photography, which is uncommon for most Leica-compatible lenses
Condition: Overall, this lens is in exceptionally good condition, especially given its age. Externally, it has a small amount of standard wear from use, as shown in photos. The glass itself is also in really good condition, aside from a very thin layer of ‘spider-web’ fungus on one of the front elements, though it would have very little to no effect on the image output of this lens, especially when used on film. We’ve ‘killed’ the fungus using UV light, too.
