Omega Art Deco 'Tank'
Omega Art Deco Rectangle — cal. T17, Circa 1930s
A beautifully proportioned Art Deco dress watch from Omega, wearing its age with quiet confidence.
The case is a slender rectangle — 31 × 22mm, roughly 8mm through the crystal — a similar profile to the ‘small’ modern Cartier Tanks, giving it a perfect unisex, relatively understated presence, while holding vintage charm. Surfaces are unpolished, retaining their original finishing and a soft, honest patina from a life of genuine wear.
Inside sits Omega's calibre T17, a robust, 15 jewel, manual-wind movement well regarded for its reliability, found in all square watches from Omega during this era of watchmaking. This example is keeping very good time for its age, and still holds roughly its original 60-hour power reserve. Please note - As with all vintage watches, this one is much more accurate when kept on its side, rather than back, while not being worn.
Overall Condition — The watch is in notably strong condition overall, with the main wear being light scratches on the crystal, as would be expected on an unpolished watch of this age. The case itself has a light patina from casual use, as shown in the photos. The watch is accurate, well within +/-40 seconds per day, and holds power for close to 60 hrs after being fully wound.
